Gorakhpur, December 9: The grand closing ceremony of the 93rd Founder's Week of Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad (MPSP) will be held on Wednesday, December 10, at the Mahayogi Gorakhnath University (MGUG) campus, Arogyadham, Balapar Road, Gorakhpur. The event will be presided over by Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, with Uttarakhand Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh as the chief guest.

During the ceremony, institutions, teachers, staff, and students of the MP Shiksha Parishad, along with winners of competitions held throughout the Founder's Week, will be honored with trophies, medals, and cash prizes. Nearly 750 students are expected to receive awards for their meritorious performances.

A highlight of the event will be the release of a book on the life and achievements of the late Prof. U.P. Singh, former President of MP Shiksha Prishad and ex-Vice-Chancellor of Purvanchal University. Titled “Jeevan Ke Sadhana Path Ka Grihasth Sanyasi: Prof. Uday Pratap Singh Evam Jeevan Mulya”, the book is published by Plaksha Publications.

Several prestigious awards will also be presented: Mahayogi Shri Gorakhnath Gold Medal (Best Institution): Digvijaynath Balika Inter College, Chowk Bazar, Maharajganj. Brahmaleen Mahant Gopalnath Gold Medal (Best Attendant): Ramakant, Digvijaynath Intermediate College, Maharajganj. Yogiraj Baba Brahm Nath Gold Medal (Best Employee): Ashwani Kumar Gupta, MP Kanya Inter College, Ramdattpur. Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Gold Medal (Best Teacher): Shipra Singh, Maharana Pratap Mahavidyalaya, Jungle Dhusan
Student awards include: Brahmaleen Mahant Digvijaynath Gold Medal (Best Postgraduate): Shivam Pandey, MSc Biotechnology, MGUG. Brahmaleen Mahant Avadyanath Gold Medal (Best Undergraduate): Akriti, BSc Biotechnology, MGUG. Maharana Mewar Gold Medal (Best High School/Intermediate Student): Pragya Kushwaha, MP Balika Inter College, Civil Lines.

Additionally, various memorial awards will be conferred to recognize excellence across academics and extracurricular achievements. The main ceremony and award distribution will commence at 9:30 AM.
